Characters Name: Jeb Hoskins
Male/Female: Male
Ethnic Origin: Mississippi
Age:26

Physical Description: Avg height, blond hair. Mustache, slight limp from being shot in foot. Missing a pinky finger. Sturdy, but on the underfed side.

Strengths: A good leader of men. Inspires normal men to exceed their physical limits for him (and his mission). Excellent strategist, and planner. Has learned many guerilla skills in combat situations. Can trick ride, and has spent most of his life in the saddle.

Weaknesses: Believes strongly in the long-dead cause of Southern Sovereignty. He cannot read. He is deaf in his left ear. He can use any-type pistol, but is not particularly fast with any of them.

Gear/Weapons: Favorite weapon is a revolver given to him by Nathan Bedford Forrest. It has an inscription on the upper barrel "Sic Semper Tyranus" It is a LeMat revolver, 1860 model. Cap and ball revolver. 9-shot (over) 44 caliber with a single lower barrel (under) that is the equivalent of a 20 gauge. It takes a full 5 minutes to load this piece, correctly. Forrest said he bought the weapon from a man in Louisiana, in 1862. Has been known to use (and throw) a bowie knife in combat with great skill.

Scenario:
The train hits the bent rails, and slowly runs off the tracks into the tall grass ... ...

At first, the front of the train looked like it would remain upright, and settle slowly off the tracks., but the momentum of the other 15 cars carries the engine and coal car sideways, snaking through the brush. As the crashing and squealing stops, you hear the release of steam from the engines boiler, and cries from the toppled passenger cars of wounded men, women, and children.

A man in a long frock "drover" coat, and a Confederate Captains insignia on his brown Stetson hat, squats next to an overturned mail car, and starts tying the large mail safe to his mount.

"What ... ... what ... ..the war is over ... ..", said the horribly wounded man in charge of the mail car, who now lay bleeding to death with internal injuries. "Not over yet Johnny ... ..We's just restin' up for a while.". "Going to make a BIG push soon!"

With a wink to the dying man, the trainrobber slapped his horse and the safe pulled away from the wreckage and toward the other 3 riders.
