Background:
Frankie was born in Mexico to a French mother and a Mexican father. Her mother was rescued when the ship she was on was wrecked in a storm on the Pacific Ocean. She was taken to Mexico and stayed there because she has no wealth and no family - all was lost in the storm. Her name was Antoinette and she met a Mexican farm and ranch owner when she was 22 years old. His name was Pedro. They got married and had 3 children, 2 girls and one boy. Angelica was bitten by a snake when she was 3 years old. When Frankie was 10 years old and her brother, Alejandro, was 4 a pack of bandits (Mexican, Indian and white settlers) raided the farm and killed her brother and mother. They took her father away with them and she never saw him again. She was spared only because she had gone for a walk. When she returned to the farm, she found her mother (raped and murdered) and her brother (murdered and scalped). She vowed revenge. At a loss at what to do, she walked to the nearest town (Risen) and started cleaing rooms at the Alice Saloon/Hotel. She worked there for two years (until she was 12). She would have worked longer but one of the regular patrons tried to rape her. He was shot and killed by a bounty hunter who helped her. Afraid for his life, the bounty hunter, Sam, left the town and Frankie begged to go with him. He obliged and for the next 5 years they rode together. He taught her all about horses, shooting and guns, and fighting. They frequented the towns of Hell Town and Two Springs. When Frankie was 17 years old, Sam was shot and killed in a shoot-out. She escaped, taking his belongings with her. She survived for 2 years on the money she had, foraging and doing odd work. When she turned 20, she decided to become a bounty hunter. Since then (seven years ago) she has been one of the most successful hunters of all time in the Wild West. She is also, however, the most mysterious. No one knows much about her past, she doesn't talk much to anyone and she keeps herself to herself - and she always rides alone.

Write a small entry scenario: Frankie ties up her horse, Thunder, in front of the saloon and looks around the quiet streets of Granite City. She has only been here a few times and knows very few people. She walks up the stairs slowly and enters the Saloon through the swinging doors. She stops and surveys the few patrons at the bar and gambling at tables. It is gloomy, smoky and stuffy. A hush descends. It is not very often that ones sees a woman on her own in these parts, especially not one who is dusty, grimy and looks like she's been riding all day (which she has). She nods to some men near the door and makes her way to the bar. The barman is wiping the counter. He is big and broad and looks strong. She tips her hat and sits on a stool in the corner of the bar. She orders a whisky and people begin softly talking again among themselves. The barman places her drink in front of her. She nods. He keeps on standing there and she slowly looks up and says, "I'll pay when I leave". He nods and says, "You from 'round these parts?". Frankie shrugs and says, "No". She realises that people are listening to this exchange. A man from one of the gambling tables gets up and walks to the bar. He sits down next to her and holds out his hand saying, "My name's Mickey". Frankie looks at his hand, looks at his face and then turns back to her drink, ignoring him. Unfazed, he says to the barman, "Joe, bring this lady another drink". She sits up straight and says loudly and slowly, "I don't recall asking for a drink - I can buy my own drink if i want one". The man pauses and then stands up, "accidently" knocking her drink out of her hand. The glass splinters as it hits the floor - the bronze liquid splashes everywhere. The man looks at her, laughs and begins to saunter back to his friends. Before he gets 2 steps away, Frankie has one of her pistols out of its holster and pointed at the man's neck. He stops short and stops laughing. All his friends stand up slowly. The barman shouts, "Take it outside!" Frankie steps back, throws some money on the bar counter, reholsters her weapon and walks out of the saloon.
